The Perpetual Post

A Discussion of Today's Events and Tomorrow's Prospects
Editor-In-Chief: Howard Megdal

Writers from the country’s finest news outlets along with vital new voices have come together to create The Perpetual Post, an interactive, constantly-updated set of thoughtful, often irreverent discourses on important issues within News/Politics, Arts/Culture, Sports, and Humor.
Beginning on Tuesday, January 13, visitors to
Perpetualpost.com will be treated to a different take on the burning questions. No single opinion will go unchallenged — each subject tackled will have a point and a counterpoint upon publication. Over the course of the week, each discourse will continue between two Perpetual Post writers.

Writers you have read in publications including ESPN.com, SI.com, The New York Observer, Philly.com, SNY.tv along with popular blogs and some lesser-known voices will collaborate on a weekly basis. Writers at The Perpetual Post will bring their opinions—but won’t be afraid to acknowledge a good point from a discourse collaborator. No more wars passing as discussion. No more all-or-nothing opinions. Just intelligent writers making interesting points.
Readers are also strongly encouraged to become part of
The Perpetual Post’s weekly discussions. A section called Reader Discourses allows a pair of readers to post an initial discourse on the topic of their choosing — if it meets The Perpetual Post’s editorial standards, the post will be promoted to our main section.
A more innovative section is called Orphaned Opinions — should a single reader post an opinion that is well-expressed and catches the eye of one of our writers,
The Perpetual Post writer will respond, and that discourse will also become part of the discussion.
In other words, regardless of point of view, if it’s well-expressed, it can find its way into
The Perpetual Post.
